Greetings,

November is the month of a time honored focus on gratitude. Gratitude is one of the highest vibrational emotions one can feel. Spending time each day in an attitude of gratitude can instantly lift your vibration and start the ball rolling for higher vibrational experiences coming into your life. I have included here some thoughtful quotes on gratitude.

Gratitude is indeed like a gearshift that can move our mental mechanism from obsession to peacefulness, from stuckness to creativity, from fear to love. The ability to relax and be mindfully present in the moment comes naturally when we are grateful. ~ Joan Borysenko. Ph.D.

Transcendental Gratitude, however, goes beyond social conventions. Instead of feeling grateful to someone, we feel grateful for them - for God or Spirit working through them. We begin to feel grateful for everyone and everything that arises in our lives. The common meaning of gratitude is to be thankful for benefits received. While this is important, I feel that the energy of gratitude is one of the most powerful attracting forces in the universe. Mercury Retrograde - continues through the 17th of November. Be cautious the week after as Mercury is moving very slowly and is not comfortable at a slow speed. Remember this is the time to re-do things: re-organize, re-think, re-learn; a good time to take a class. Expect delays in travel and if you must sign contracts, be sure to read the fine print.

Remember to focus only on what you want and not on what you don't want or on current conditions that don't reflect your dreams. Pull out your paints and brushes and be the Artist of Your Mind!! Always remember that what you think about grows!!

FULL MOON IN TAURUS, Saturday, November 5th at 04:59 am PST (13 degrees)

This Full Moon has not just the Sun in Scorpio but Mars, Venus, Mercury, and Jupiter as well. Rarely are five of the ten planets this close together; when this happens, it raises critical issues that must be addressed.

This Full Moon spotlights what we need to see and what we need to change. Scorpio is the sign most concerned with the shadow - so what could be its dark side? Inability to trust. Double standards. Addiction to drama. Black-and-white thinking. Not everyone has natal planets in Scorpio, but we all have an 8th house and we all have a Pluto (the modern ruler of Scorpio) delineating where we wrestle with our deepest fears and desires. Our shadow contains not only our less desirable qualities, but also anything that has been repressed or denied - our power, our truth, our light. In mythology, Pluto was the Roman God of the Underworld; to the ancient Greeks, he was also the God of Wealth, symbolizing that there are great riches to be found in facing our shadow.

Mars, the ancient ruler of Scorpio, represents what moves us, what stirs us to action. What is our motivation? Why are we doing what we're doing? And why are we not doing what we should be doing? Venus, the Goddess of Love and Beauty, questions: How are we using our power? Are we going for the gold? What would Love (not lust) do? Mercury, the Messenger of the Gods, asks: Are we speaking our truth? What needs to be said - or heard? And last but not least, Jupiter, the King of the Gods, queries: Is fear still in the driver's seat? What preconceptions or habits are blocking our progress?

All of the outer planets are involved with this Full Moon, pushing for the release of parental, cultural, and religious programming. Pluto semi-squares the Sun and Mars, exposing the gap between ego and essence, hype and authenticity. Neptune is even more dynamically involved, squaring all five planets in Scorpio as well as the Moon in Taurus, and turning our hearts toward fellowship, tolerance, and working together for the good of all. Uranus at 11° Pisces trines the Sun, Mercury, Venus, and Mars while sextiling the Moon, encouraging us to trust our intuition and experiment with alternatives. A square (90°)
marks a crucial turning point, a semi-square (45°) unlocks hidden resources, a trine (120°) facilitates connection and flow. Where these five planets in Scorpio fall in your chart is where you are bringing unconscious assumptions to awareness, reclaiming your power, and remembering your soul's mission. Watch for significant clues and insights on November 8 when Mercury transits directly across the disk of the Sun - a type of eclipse that provides a localized transmission of solar energy and information.

This Full Moon emphasize the importance of being as open and unencumbered as possible: that it's time for a big change and "There is no condition so severe that you cannot reverse it by choosing different thoughts. However, choosing different thoughts requires focus and practice. PERSONAL MOON CEREMONY Find the time to have your own private Moon Ceremony. You have a three day window of energy in which to manifest your intentions. The day before, the day of, and the day after.

For the Full Moon, jot down two or three areas of your life you want to clean up. The Full Moon is the time to release or get rid of the things that no longer serve you, so by the next New Moon your slate is clean for new beginnings, or fertile for the planting of new seeds.

Possible phrasing: I now release______ from my life. I now release my destructive ________ patterns. I now let go of fear, jealousy, anger, envy, negative thinking, etc... Remember, think and envision as though you have already let go of what you have released. See yourself free and living your dreams. Thoughts are things and the brain manifests exactly what you show it in the form of thoughts and visuals about yourself. The Buddha said, and I am paraphrasing, "We are the sum total of our thoughts up to today. " If we want to be different then we must change our thoughts. What you think about grows!! "If you always do what you've always done, then you'll always get what you've always got." CONSCIOUS CHANGE is the key.

A Full Moon symbolizes the fulfillment of the seeds planted at a previous New Moon or some earlier cycle. Each Full Moon reminds us of the seeds that may be coming to maturity, to their fullness, to fruition, to the place where the fruits or gifts are received. It may seem that fulfillment of our goals takes a long time. Some intentions may manifest within the two week phase prior to the next New or Full Moon. Some however, depending on their complexity, may take a much longer time. Just remember that our thoughts and emotions set Universal Action in motion and much work takes place behind the scenes as everything is orchestrated for fulfillment. Keep visualizing your goals as though you have already attained them and they will eventually manifest. Do not concern yourself with current conditions or worry about controlling it. The universe takes care of those details. Just keep seeing what you want and give no energy to what you don't want. Patience is required.

I will be including Opportunity Periods in the updates from now on. These are a wonderful tool to maximize our efforts. Opportunity Periods reflect favorable aspects of the Moon. The energies of the Moon impact us in a very direct way. Using the positive energies that the Moon showers upon the Earth, to our benefit, makes good sense. Opportunity Periods have proven to provide helpful energy to non routine tasks. If you feel like you are always going against the grain and things are stressful, try using these time periods for more easily accomplishing important tasks: purchases, repairs, client appointments, sales calls, important phone calls, finishing goals, starting new projects, tying up loose ends, starting new relationships ( except when Venus is Retrograde), job hunting, doctor visits, family meetings, etc.

I personally use OPs and find them to be invaluable. I am happy to pass on this unique and useful information. Very few Astrologers are aware of OPs as the formula for their calculation is not widely known. This information will help you stay ahead of the game. A complete list for the year is available.
