Spirit. Love. Destiny. The archetype of Leo guides us back to our hearts, back to our spiritual blueprint. What were we born for? What special gifts do we have to offer? Why did we choose to incarnate at this momentous time on Earth? Leo is the sign of creativity, the metaphysical truth that everyone is a creator and a unique emanation of the Divine. The word destiny comes from the same cognate as destination: "a purpose for which somebody or something is intended" (Webster's Dictionary). This New Moon calls us back to our soul intentions and our sacred destination.

Not only are the Sun and Moon in Leo now, but also Mercury, Venus, and Saturn. With five of the ten planets in one sign, it's difficult to miss the cosmic finger pointing toward the middle of your chest. Who are you? What is your heart saying? What would Love do? The day after this New Moon, Venus and Saturn make the second of three conjunctions in 2007. A conjunction represents a new cycle, an ending of an old pattern and an initiation to a new level. Venus's retrograde phase, which began on July 27 and ends- on September 8, prompts us to examine our priorities: her three conjunctions with Saturn this year help us to clarify our values and bottom lines. Whenever Venus meets Saturn, relationships and resources undergo a reality check. Are we getting as much as we are giving? Do we have what we want? Do we want what we have? Saturn says to Venus: Be truthful. Be prudent. And be real.

The Saturn-Neptune opposition in the middle degrees of Leo-Aquarius has especially affected the Pluto in Leo generation, nudging millions of Baby Boomers to live their truth and reclaim their power. During this opposition, The Secret was first released as a film (Neptune), detailing the Law (Saturn) of Attraction and the mechanics of creation (Leo) for the masses (Aquarius). The NEW MOON is the time to manifest the personal attributes you want to cultivate as well as the tangible things you want to bring to you. Possible phrasing: I now manifest ____ into my life. I am now _______ . Remember, think, envision and feel with as much emotion as possible, as though you already have what you want. Thoughts are things and the brain manifests exactly what you show it in the form of thoughts, visuals and emotions. The Buddha said, and I am paraphrasing, "We are the sum total of our thoughts up to today. " If we want to be different than we must change our thoughts. "If you always do what you've always done then you'll always get what you've always got." CONSCIOUS CHANGE is the key.
